Examinations
Thorough history taking and physical examinations are performed on every patient to ensure that they are in good health, or to get to the bottom of whatever problem they may have.
Vaccinations
Vaccinations are tailored to the lifestyle and health concerns of each individual patient. Providing adequate immunization against communicable disease is important for the health of your pet and the health of our community. Care is taken to make the process as painless and free of side effects as possible.
Anesthesia
Carefully planned protocols tailored to particular health concerns of your patient will be employed along with state of the art monitoring to ensure anesthesia and pain control will be as safe and comfortable as possible.
Surgery
We perform all routine soft tissue surgeries: spays, neuters, mass removals etc. Plans are in place to offer limited orthopedics in the near future.
Dentistry
Dental health is an often overlooked aspect of a pet's health. If you've ever had a toothache, you know how unpleasant that can be. We focus on providing preventive care in a safe and cost effective manner, but also employ advanced periodontal treatment and extractions for severely affected teeth.
Care for ill patients
Medical treatments for vomiting, diarrhea, skin problems, urinary issues, neurologic disease, diabetes and other metabolic diseases are provided on both an in-patient and out-patient basis. Patients in need of intensive over night care may be referred to a critical care center.
Imaging
We have a state of the art digital radiography system which produces results in seconds and uses lower levels of x-rays than conventional systems. Also, abdominal and cardiac ultrasounds are done in our clinic in consultation with radiologists, cardiologists, and internal medicine specialists.
Laboratory
We have an in-house laboratory that can provide accurate results on blood tests, urinalysis, cytology and fecal exams while you wait. For more extensive testing we have access to one of the best veterinary reference labs in the country, with most results available by the next day.
Nutritional and behavioral consultations
"What is the best food to feed my pet?" is one of my favorite questions. We can help you decide what and how much to feed to keep your pet as healthy as possible. We are also happy to address whatever behavioral questions you may have.
Health certificates for travel
Dr Jon Jacobson is federally accredited and can issue health certificates for travel. We specialize in preparing the paperwork necessary for exporting your pet to other countries.
End of life care
We provide palliative and hospice care for aged or terminally ill pets with an emphasis on maintaining the best, most comfortable quality of life. We also provide euthanasia and cremations services. If you prefer not to bring your pet into the clinic for these services, house calls can be arranged.

We have a number of rabbit, guinea pig, hamster and rat patients. We don't claim this as an area of expertise, but we can handle many routine health concerns of these types of pets. And if we can't handle it, we can direct you to someone who can.
